What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for discipline-specific task planning and distribution, as well as project schedule and budget adherence.
  • Assists with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
  • Assists in developing the scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within the discipline.
  • Oversees the completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work in the technical discipline. Guides and mentors the team in achieving the overall project objectives.
  • Coordinates technical aspects of projects with client counterparts and teaming partners at the staff level for discipline-specific work.
  • Collaborates closely with other disciplines on multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

 

What You Will Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering plus six years of relevant experience, or
  • A master’s degree in engineering plus five years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering with four years of relevant experience.

Traffic Engineering Knowledge

  • Creating traffic analysis models using tools such as VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, FREEVAL, and Sidra.
  • Creates idea development, preliminary, and final design plans.
  • Designs and produces traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, and traffic maintenance plans.
  • Collaborates closely with other disciplines on multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Prepares technical reports and present results.
  • Develops quantities and cost estimates.
  • Oversees data collecting and field investigations.

Certification:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification

Connecticut’s approximate salary range is $100,502.72 to $171,487.15. Please keep in mind that the compensation range indicated represents a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual remuneration will be determined by a variety of factors, including the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and talents, as well as their physical work location within the state.
