Job Summary:

To teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Management Information Systems (face-to-face and online), with a focus on Management Information Systems and other management-related courses, in order to provide a solid foundation in Management Information Systems and prepare students for many other classes within the department and College of Business. This role will teach three classes each autumn and spring, with the possibility of additional teaching assignments in the summer. This job will also participate in departmental, college, and university committees. This faculty member will retain his/her professional affiliations and participate in professional activities. This job will mentor students and offer guidance on career endeavours.

Minimum qualifications:

Holds the highest degree applicable to the field or has similar qualifications based on professional experience, and is otherwise qualified to fulfil assigned activities. The appointee is involved in teaching, scholarship, artistic projects, service, and other relevant activities.

Position Qualifications:

Doctorate degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in Management Information Systems or a closely related discipline (e.g., Organisational Behavior/Management), with a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. Relevant work experience, continued professional development, and an active research agenda are required to retain qualifications for teaching assignments. This faculty member will have appropriate teaching expertise, including demonstrated success in online course development and delivery. For an Assistant Professor job, applicants must meet the College of Business’s Faculty Qualification Policy.

Preferred Qualifications.

Regardless of the degree, it must be accompanied by relevant teaching experience, ongoing professional development, and an active research agenda.
