FOR OUR YATES ST. LOCATION, WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER!

We’re looking for someone to help our Yates General Manager with all aspects of daily operations, including sales, strong floor leadership, training, customer service, and profitability. Most significantly, this person will help to supervise, guide, manage, and develop our FOH team.

Job Overview

Your duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Create a culture and work environment that promotes and fosters our team’s and community’s well-being.

 

  • You will be in charge of aiding your general manager with the recruitment and training of all front-of-house staff.

 

  • Contribute to the development of a network in your town and make a good difference.

 

  • To maximise profitability, assist in managing personnel hours, scheduling, discounts, and promotions.

 

  • Execute perfect operations by maintaining open lines of communication among all team members, both FOH and BOH.

 

  • Assist in the distribution of tip-outs as well as the verification and collection of cash-out discrepancies and deposits.

 

  • Keep track of waste.

 

  • Respond to and monitor administrative email

 

  • When on shift, manage the floor.

 

  • Contribute to daily staff communication (Monday Workplace postings, menu rollouts, LTO’s, 86’d items, untapped and WP group discussions)

 

  • Reconciliation of credit cards on a daily basis

 

  • You’ll work some shifts managing, serving, and bartending.

 

  • Checking reservations to verify they are up to date.

 

  • Help with ordering and inventory- liquor and beer orders, Pepsi, Red Bull, and so forth.

 

  • Assist with building maintenance and upkeep.

 

  • 7Shifts shift swaps and trades are monitored and malintained, and scheduling assistance is provided.

 

  • Ensure that daily product communication (such as 86’d products and Untapped) is obvious.

 

  • Send out gift certificates and online buying vouchers.

 

  • Initial interviews, verbal disciplinary notifications, and follow-ups are all part of the process.

 

  • The general manager receives nightly reports.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • You have at least two years of FOH experience.

 

  • Capable of constructively accepting feedback and growing as a leader

 

  • You must model and practise equal, inclusive, and diverse leadership.

 

  • You get along well with others.

 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think for oneself.

 

  • You can compose routine reports and correspondence.

 

  • You are familiar with Lightspeed and Microsoft Office, as well as email.

 

  • You understand the importance of communication and have strong communication skills.

 

  • A innate desire to assist others in succeeding and growing

 

  • Be able to share your knowledge and abilities with your team.

 

  • Display effective floor leadership.

 

  • Fill in for your team and step up if they are unable to work or cannot obtain adequate coverage.

 

  • Time Management and Organisational Skills

 

  • Capability to allocate authority to personnel and supervisors

 

  • You have a valid driver’s licence that you can still use legally.
