  • Previous experience managing a product team.
  • Leverage their extensive software knowledge to create programme strategies, functional and technical requirements, resource plans, and technical roadmaps.
  • Possess organisational agility by collaborating with key stakeholders from various disciplines to align resources in support of the desired results.
  • Focus on delivering value to our clients by carefully and deliberately prioritising desired results.
  • Previous experience collaborating with an Agile development team.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with software development experience.
  • Ability to work alone and take the initiative to solve unanticipated issues.
  • A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Capable of managing several conflicting priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Experience developing/managing technology products on cloud systems.
  • Ability to collaborate and make complicated decisions in a fast changing environment.

 

Qualifications/Education and desired past experiences:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical/electronics/energy engineering, or a similar subject, or a combination of education and comparable experience
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Three or more years of technical programme management experience in agile software delivery and backlog management.
  • Focus on delivering product value through collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a consistent focus for process improvement, thinking outside the box to motivate and encourage team members.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Partners and Product Managers to understand their product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and then translate it into an actionable backlog for the development team.
  • Help business stakeholders understand our iterative development strategy, which focuses on creating a Minimum Viable Product through rigorous and intentional prioritisation.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to identify any pain points and prioritise their resolution.
  • Collaborate with different vehicle core component teams and other product teams (internal and external) to prioritise, plan, and deliver the product.
  • Ensures that the backlog has enough prioritised user stories that can be estimated for the next two iterations.
  • Responding to in-person suggestions, the team communicates honestly and regularly.
  • Ensures that the provided software solution fulfils the desired business results.
  • Work with internal and external product designers to ensure that designs and assets are delivered on time to the engineering development team.
  • Identify and share success stories with the entire product team.
  • Help create and iterate on agile processes, continuously seeking ways to better.
  • Share your knowledge and mentor others to help the team go forward using Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking principles; create and iterate on product management procedures.

  • Lead the definition, planning, execution, and implementation of complex technical efforts in the software arena focused at attaining strategic business objectives.
  • Prioritise client scenarios and develop functional success indicators to ensure that project objectives are aligned with customer requirements.

  • Ensure that project and programme objectives, deliverables, and outcomes are met within the agreed-upon scope, timeframe, budget, and resources.
  • Showcase influential leadership by evaluating other views, making significant progress, and pushing the team to meet project goals.
  • Identifies risks and develops risk mitigation strategies to ensure the timely completion of strategic projects/programs.
  • Manage technological product goals and projections. Collaborate with the software development team(s) to translate long-term goals into an executable technology strategy and execution plan.
  • Refines backlog content to improve business outcomes based on software product feedback.
  • Understands business and user needs in order to prioritise the product backlog and mitigate risks.
