Job Description.

AECOM is looking for a talented and experienced Transportation Engineer headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In this capacity, you will actively participate in key transportation planning projects throughout Maryland.

+ Prepare or review engineering studies or specifications for various transportation planning projects.

+ Examine development plans for transportation system effects, infrastructure, and environmental requirements, or compliance with relevant transportation legislation.

+ Performs specified and moderate sections of a bigger task as an experienced engineer.

+ Collects and correlates fundamental engineering data using established and well-defined techniques.

+ Generates planning-level cost estimates for transport enhancements.

+ Generates conceptual options for feasibility and planning investigations.

+ Proposes a way to solving new difficulties encountered by modifying standard procedures or methods adopted in earlier assignments.

+ Determines disparities in outcomes.

+ Offers instruction to entry-level engineers

+ Works within the agreed-upon budget and timeline with little oversight.

+ Independently completes all the tasks required to complete preliminary engineering work.

+ Performance at this level demands development experience in a professional job.

Qualifications

Minimum: + BS. Civil Engineers

+ Four years of transportation engineering experience, or documented equivalent experience and/or education.

Preferred: + Professional Engineer Licence.

+ Engineering transportation planning experience, including NEPA environmental studies.

+ GIS expertise and experience.

Compensation will be determined based on geography and individual qualifications. The estimated range is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00.
