The Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, in collaboration with a number of research institutions and applied science colleges, funds the scholarship programme presently known as the NL Scholarships, which allows students from all over the world—including those outside the European Economic Area—to pursue higher education in the Netherlands.
Students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees are eligible to apply for the € 5,000 annual scholarship as well as other perks associated with the Holland Government Scholarships.
You may be required to submit documentation of your language skills in order to study in the Netherlands as an international student. On the other hand, you are able to apply for the Holland Government Scholarships 2024 without having to meet the required IELTS score.
For whom are Holland Government Scholarships intended?
All qualified applicants who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for the scholarship:
Students from abroad who are not citizens of the European Economic Area.
foreign applicants wishing to enrol full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s degree at one of the participating Dutch universities.

How to Apply for Government Scholarships from Holland
You must first apply for admission to any participating institution in order to begin the Holland Government Scholarship application process (links to the admission pages and requirements of the participating colleges can be found on the official scholarship webpage supplied below). It’s crucial to read the Code of Conduct and follow all guidelines pertaining to the NL Scholarships initiative.
IELTS is not required to apply for the scholarship.
The English language requirements of the various institutions may differ, but in general, if you have other options, you may be able to study in the Netherlands without having to submit the results of your IELTS exam.
